Me. My twin brother started a off season conditioning program for freshman football. Let's just say my natural strength did not help when we got into physical fights after that.

Also jumping boxes helped my vertical jumping in basketball. Touching the back of the basketball backboard during our pregame warmups

Fwiw I do expect some sub 4.2 forty replies but I am just wondering how all of us OT ballers became ballers

Not in HS, because we had some studs on our team. Two of them went to the NFL and a bunch more played college ball. I would bust my arse all summer, they'd show up once a week or so and play grabass. But it didn't matter, they were still better than me.

In college and after, I kept working out, and they didn't. Now I'm still fit and healthy, and can do basically any active thing I want. They've gotten fat and slow.

Wut. Wtf this have too do with getting gf?

This is a legit question we have all noticed some performance enhancement through physical training. Just wondering where and when did people on here realize this. Maybe running for a couple weeks in flip flops helped them train for and finish the ironman?

I'm 47 years old, have been working out for all of my adult life.

This past week I held a guy who within the past five years was a Patriot League offensive MVP scoreless in indoor soccer. Patriot isn't ACC but still.

I surf now to stay in shape. I am 42 and can hold my own. Only thing I notice now is it takes alot longer to recover after a couple hours of surfing

Geez. You guys need dates and years here? Just an instance when you noticed a difference in your physical performance or someone else's performance through working out or some type of conditioning.

When I realized it didn't make a difference. When I work out too hard, I get injured. So I half-assed my way to legendary athletic status in H.S.

I noticed in college during ball practice when I wasn't getting pushed around as much and I just felt stronger and the best cardio shape of my life. Also helped when dunking on some different people.

I realized it for my 2nd year of wrestling, 8th grade. My coach told me to run a couple miles a day and bench, squat and deadlift over the summer. Came back stronger than any other 100 pounder.

When I could start doing one-handed pullups.

I'm pretty explosive at 31. I really want to know my 40 time.

Basketball and soccer I've always enjoyed playing, but now I'm tougher to bring down in soccer and my range of motion in both soccer and basketball is pretty fantastic.

I've been working out 6 days a week for over 2 years now. I'm much stronger than I ever was in college and high school.
