As a Marine I’m not really up to speed on army posts but I would have Germany and Korea at the top of my list. I did the basic airborne course and bnoc at bennning and air assault at Schofield barracks. I wouldn’t recommend them personally even though they are not on your list

Korea or Germany.

No explanation needed for Germany but how would the dating be in Korea?

Fort Liberty (Fayetteville, NC)

Anyone who chooses Bragg by choice would make me question their intellect. The only reason one should every be stationed on Liberty is if your life's mission is to be in the XVIII Airborne Corps or are a 1st SFOD-D operator. I was never stationed or did a TDY stint at any of the others listed but you do not want to go to Bragg unless you really like liquor stores, tattoo parlors and low-rent strip clubs.

Are you looking to get married anytime soon? Would factor that into the decision if I was looking for an American woman or not.

Fayetteville is pretty terrible. Only upside is that it’s very close to Raleigh and the coast.

I’m not much for Alaska, but as a one year deal it would put in proximity to some incredible offbase experiences..

If you’re younger and single, do Germany or Alaska IMO. I had an uncle that was stationed in Germany for several years and loved it.

Speaking from experience, if you like poontang, you'll love Korea.

Agree on Bragg.

Top of the list is looking like Korea or Germany. I'm stuck on if the extra year in Germany to travel is worth the delay in residency training or not. Korea is still unknown and I don't know how much I'd like the culture.

So far, I've pretty much excluded Alaska and Irwin. If the Alaska option was on the coast like Anchorage, I'd consider it but I've heard dreary stuff about Fairbanks in the wintertime.

Stateside I would probably list Riley, Bliss, then Bragg but have to look more into El Paso with the current border situation, crime, and overall climate

Look at the worst 2 bases you can go to and that's where you'll go

Research what you’d be doing in each space and find out if your boss is a jerk.

That’s more important than location

All things equal, Germany, Korea, then Bliss. The others—NO

ETA- of that list, I’ve been to Germany (Stuttgart, Bamberg and Kitzingen), Bragg, Bliss, Wainwright, and Riley if that helps

I was stationed at Larson barracks in kitzingen 95-98.

I said earlier I'm picking Korea or Germany (if 1 year not 2 years). I would have fun for a year plus I'm not sure any of those locations in the states are hotbeds for finding eligible, attractive, educated U.S. women!

What is your brief rundown on those places and how would you rank them?

I’d pick Fairbanks.Winters pretty rough but it’s cool place in summer.
