I give the nod to BK or others, before Popeyes.

At Popeyes, there is an inherent enthusiasm, mutual, surrounding the food/order. If you find it lacking, keep digging, it's there. Ask for a dipping sauce, eg honey mustard, and tell your server what you plan to do with that flaky snippet. Unless inappropriate, talk about body shots, whatever it takes to build spirit and rapport. That enthusiasm will emerge, and ultimately transcend any incompetence or reluctance, even if just enough to get you out the door order in hand.

Now try that at BK, see what it gets you other than a lukewarm whopper, ketchup packet and 3/4 of a fry. Or imagine a hypothetical order of 8 whopper sliders, 6 flamebroiled and 2 sans. Dicey.

Whether this says anything about the actual intelligence of these workers, who knows, but in fast food settings, reality can be scary.

Has anyone ever recieved food through the window at Popeyes? Even if I'm the only car there they immediately ask me to pull around.

That's to get you off the sensors. That makes it seem like your order was completed in a fast time. It keeps the gm from knowing how slow they really are

Burger King wins this by a mile. I went to one on a Sunday afternoon and they had run out of - buns.

How the frick do you as a "Hamburger Restaurant" run out of buns??? That my friends is monumental mis-management.

...and they didn't really offer that much of an apology - just asked if we still wanted the meat patty...

It was uh-mazing

I just wish they would tell me they are substituting mild for the spicy I ordered. Oh you don't have enough ready so you threw a few mild in there and thought I wouldn't notice?

I love Popeyes so much that they could probably say, "WHAT THE F*** YOU WANT, YOU WHITE-AZZ MUTHAF***A?!" when I walk in I'd say, "Uh, Yes mam, I'd like a #3 with..." I'm a whore for Popeyes.

The Popeyes on St. Charles Ave. usually gets my order right, but a few weeks ago, they were having a really bad night (like they do) and the lady manager hollers, "THAT'S WHY I DON'T BE HIRING NO YOUNG PEOPLE!" in front of a big line of people. I swear - and it was loud. She was just as bad as the other 40 people they seemed to have working that weren't getting the orders out or getting them right. Customers were just walking out. So Popeyes can be pretty really bad.

I've walked into KFC a couple of times and had a staring contest with employees. They're awful.

Burger King is probably the worst based on all of my experiences. It seems like you have to wait about 30 minutes for them to even start talking to you at the drive-thru. And sometimes you think they're about to take your order, but they just have the speaker on and are talking to their co-worker for about three minutes.

I called a pizza place on a Saturday night for four pizzas and they said they only had enough dough for two. I kindly told them to frick off with that.

BK is the answer here, but if any of you has a White Castle, that also has some interesting characters.

Like others said, BK is awful in every way. I can count on one hand how many times their frozen Coke machine is working.

My last 2 experiences at BK...

Plaquemine. Went in b/c the drive thru sucks. I ordered 2 double hamburgers. A black woman tried to cut in line but I called her out, that was a mistake. Every black employee made sure her order made it out first and she ordered all kinds of crap. Plaquemine BK is racist!

Siegen lane. Went in and the cashier was sitting on the counter on the customer side. She sat there 5 feet away from me and never acknowledged me. Her manager..."why didn't you take his order" her reply "I don't know I am tired"

The Popeyes on government is actually one of the better fast food chains I've been to.

Friendly, accurate, fast. Sucks that the food is so unhealthy though

But over 50% of the orders are special. If you're going to order special expect fricked up orders.

It's the complete opposite where I live. BK is fast as hell. Whereas McDonald's is just abysmal. And that's an understatement. I went through the drive thru... Ordered a 20 piece nugget. Which comes with a drink and fries. I usually check my bag before I drive off. But there was a long line behind me. And I didn't wanna hold it up so I pulled out onto the highway. When I got my first red light, I was gonna eat a fry but I reached into the bag and couldn't find them. So I looked in the bag. There was a cheeseburger, a hashbrowns and a biscuit. So I just assumed I had the wrong order. But the receipt had my order on it.

That and McDonald's is straight up nasty. Flies and roaches all over. I don't even go through the drive thru anymore. There's not a single decent McDonald's in my area.
But outside of the Wendy's by my school and chickfila, I don't eat fast food much anymore. They're all becoming shitty.

Eta: The Popeyes down here is decent. They have their ignorant people that can't speak proper English, but they get your order right most of the time.

If every fast food place operated like Chick-fil-A, $15/hour wouldn't be such a joke.
