I cant decide between Cottages or sterling burbank. maybe Venue at Northgate. I will be doing random roomates this late in the game and I want a nice( safe too) place and party. I will be paying for it myself so maybe I should go cheaper, idk. What are your opinions of these places?

If you're paying for it yourself you probably don't belong there.

My sister-in-law lives there. I would live there before Northgate or Sterling. It's ridiculous what my father-in-law pays for her to live there. Still, she says they have plenty of parties. On a negative, the management has come into her cottage on more than one occasion without notice or knocking. I do not care if you rent or not...that is bologna.

Find a condo that somebody rents. Decent places off of Brightside & Brightside View Drive. Don't live in a big apartment complex, the management is typically shitty.

I read the reviews. Things is I dont have any roomates to live with in places like brightisde, sharlo or riverbend. I also want to party, meet girls, and new friends. But I haven't saved up enough for a place and Ill have to get a new job.

If you're paying for it yourself you can just look on Craigslist for people looking for roommates. In my experience, living in a Condo was almost half of rent at the Cottages/the Campus Crossings.

I've heard it's bad but moving there myself next year for the same reasons as you I'd guess. Fresh start, new people, yada yada. Should be fun. And if it's not, a year goes by quick and I'll be in a better position to move in with some people I'm already friends with then.

Don't know about sterling, but my SO in college lived at the cottages and those things are bona fide pieces of crap. Poorly made, thin walls, terrible management, and you're basically paying for the pool. Which as a non-resident I would go to all the time anyway. They are outrageously expensive for what they really are imo.

Don't live at any of those places. All of those big student housing complexes suck

for the same money you can get house in the garden district. The cottages are dump for what you pay. I have been in one in 4 or so years but that is my 2 cents

I would not live in the Cottages. I have heard way more people complain about living there then liking it. The management sucks. You would be better living somewhere else.

Stay the hell away from the Cottages.

Those apartments have HVAC systems that are not fit for a humid environment and are full of mold.

If you live there and don't have respiratory illness, you will soon.

Maybe that's what that funky smell is from at the Cottages.
