Let me give you some advice. Never bring a carry on. It’s too much of a hassle. Just check your bag in, and it will be waiting on you at your destination. -GAG
Most of the time. I carry a small carry on bag with a change of clothes for the small chance my suitcase doesn’t make it. Also gives me place to throw a charger is whatever I don’t want to put in my pocket.

Is there a market for shipping your bags to your hotel pre-flight?
I would love to not have to carry on or wait at baggage claim
Edit: it appears ups offers a service like this so something to think about for next time

Genius. Let the compartment door for each seat be on the floor in front of your seat. Easy access. Each seat has its own compartment. Hit a button, compartment slides open

Sounds like a great way to get stuck wearing the same underwear for a couple days. I think I trust UPS less than airlines.

I haven’t flown commercial since, well, ever, but I’m sure the laypeople of this board can help.

Had to fly first class last week because the Citation was getting new carpet and seats. Quit the harrowing experience
Handed the stewardess my carryon, not sure where she put it

Ok this clown doesn’t travel much. Just got off my flight today with my two carryons and was out the airport in 3 minutes. Having to go to baggage claim and wait for your luggage….F that!

Well, since the current situation doesn't require anything powered, your solution sounds expensive and would require more maintenance.
Never going to happen.

It wasn't an issue until they started charging for checked baggage.

I wouldn’t trust UPS
Just get some decent carry on luggage. I wear nice shite, and I can easily pack for a week and a half trip in a temperate climate between a standard size carry on and an under the seat “personal item” size carry on. If I’m traveling for longer than that, I just have laundry done once every week or so. Zero pain or delay when arriving at or leaving an airport, no lost luggage, and you don’t have four loads of laundry to do when you get back home. Oh, and if you have to climb stairs with your bag for any reason, you don’t want to commit suicide on the spot

frickin horrible advice.
Carry-on only, no "personal item." Board early, don't worry about overhead storage.
frick dealing with checking in a bag, frick waiting at baggage claim, frick paying for it, and frick potentially losing your bag.
Its easy to do a 1 week business trip out of one reasonably sized carry on.

This is terrible advice. When you get stuck due to a missed connection or a cancelled flight you are stuck overnight with no luggage. You'll be flying the next day in the same clothes as the day before.

And I bet that coach seat had better service and was more comfortable than current first class on these greyhounds of the sky

The bag doesn’t wait for you. You wait for your bag.
Not if you fly Delta. And certainly not if you have priority.
Let's be really honest with each other. Flying is a pay-to-play game. Plain and simple. If you expect to get aboard a flight purchased at lowest dollar from flightbangers.com for $129.99 and get treated the same way as me, after I fly ooldes of miles a year and stroke that check, IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN.
If you're not a frequent flyer, step up and write a bigger check and they will take very good care of you. Or put in the time.
Just don't be a OThalfballer and expect to be treated like OTballer. It isn't a thing.

Lots of folks don't check luggage. They fill the overhead bin above their seat and then some.

I let low key pissed when I see folks with 2-3 carryons per person. Though it seems airlines are starting to crack it down.
If that wasn’t bad enough, one time I saw an argument bring up because one douchbag moved a bag to a different compartment to make room for all of theirs over their seat.

Ban flight attendants from shoving their shite in the bins and there would be a few more for the rest of us!
