God damn....dude exploited his own kid for a viral video. Smart parent. That's the best thing about having kids, right?

Don't discount the idea that the kid wanted to do it on his own and the dad made it happen.

i might be dead wrong. I admit that. But this just doesn't make sense to me. I'm not a parent but I'd never put a video of my kid online whether he wants it or not. Thats just a weird thing. let's consider the purpose of the video. Did the video enlighten us to anything about the men who gave their live for our country. Not really.

What political message are you referring to? Did I miss the subliminal "death to obama" message or something?

The kid was doing a project, I assume for school, or maybe just something the kid wanted to do.

And who goes out to Omaha beach where their son is presenting a project and doesn't bring a camera to document it? The Internet has fricked up everything to where you can't even take a picture or video of your kid doing something without people condemning you for "staging" it. Sad.

I think it's pretty hard to hide a war. I think it's fair to say that we as a nation (especially the Millennials) are becoming increasingly ungrateful for those sacrifices, and those lives lost are becoming more insignificant by the day.

What are you talking about? Really. I have no clue. This video told us nothing about world war 2. At all. Also, from my understanding, those who have served are more honored now than any point in the past 100 years. So I don't know where your pulling the millenialials are ungrateful BS.

I posted this before I saw this thread... but I'm angry I didn't see this video/story last year.

I was tearing up through the whole thing.

Using their sacrifice as a means of bringing attention to yourself is pretty ungrateful. The dad is saying "look at my kid and how thoughtful he is, aren't I a great parent"? That honors no soldiers.
