Olympia was Lame as shite

I only care about getting throws because the kids get so excited about it, but that said, Olympia was piss poor. Not even worth going as far as that but luckily had a good time with friends. The douchebags riding on the floats mostly looked like they didn't even want to be there.

It was only 18 floats and started early but still late and slow and many huge breaks in between. So in addition to the throws and people sucking, the logistics sucked as well.
Used to be that Eve sucked and Olympia was at least decent but that was reversed this year IMO.

My family and I enjoyed it. It is basically Eve moved to downtown Covington where I can make regular Tap Room runs. And, we enjoyed Eve a lot, too.

We enjoyed it. But, we don't regularly go to parades. The kids had a good time. People around us were nice and respectful. As I don't regularly parade, what was it missing that you were expecting?

Free per se, but the cost of aggravation sitting in traffic before and after and also opportunity cost, i.e., not going to a different parade or doing something else different. But like I said, was still good times with friends.

It has been that way for years. Eve is a much better parade. I wouldn't say Olympia sucked, my kids caught three Mardi Gras bags full of stuff. The crouds are single file for both of those parades where I stand.
