They turn out just like you train them.

So what do you mean by “older” parents?
People that become parents in their later years or parents that are older now and happen to have kids?

Ok I see what you mean. I have two kids in their 30s. They have turned out fine. But you may have a rougher time in this day and age.
I’d hate to have young kids now.

As a boomer, my kids turned out to be a bunch of worthless millenials

You don't seem to have much confidence in it.

I have three adult children (I also have 4 under 18).

Of the adult children - in birth order. All boys:

Oldest - retail sales manager for a larger regional/national outdoors store. Great career path, ESOP company with great advancement opportunities. He gets compd a shite ton of guns, scopes, etc. each year in additional to good pay and benefits.

Second oldest - an aerospace/aero something else engineer with Boeing. Doing well with it.

Those two are both married (oldest turning 32 no kids, second is 26 with one daughter - my only grandchild and my clear favorite person in the world).

Third - turning 23, special operations aviation crew member. Can disassemble and reassemble a Blackhawk helicopter practically blindfolded and then go fly a mission and take care of business.

SO all and all I think I am 3 for 3 on the kids front as far.

My first was born when I was 38. She learned all the good swear words by kindergarten. Has a fine appreciation for Beastie Boys and Led Zep, but prefers the Kidz Bop version of WAP. She already learned form her mom how to order room service and she likes a good shirley temple when we go to Commanders for "a quick lunch".

They turned out kind, empathetic, hard working adults.
Now there were definitely bumps along the way. Even a few hills.
We didn't think we would survive the teenage years. Advice.
Monitor their phone, location and limit device usage with no exceptions. Good luck

Mine were born when I was 38 and 40. They had a rough go growing up with a mother with a major substance abuse problem that I divorced because of that.

but with age on all of our parts things are pretty good now...

eldest is a contractor with NASA in Baltimore doing computer support to the James Webb Space Telescope

and my youngest got her BSN at Southeastern and is working as a Nurse Auditor in Baton Rouge...

I guess if we’re bragging , my son graduates from high school this year. Straight A student, works 20-30 hrs/ week property management at a gorgeous wedding venue in the hill country until he decides which engineering to take in college. I’m very proud of the fact he will look you on the eyes when he meets you , shake your hand and engages in conversation like a man . He bought a used 4 runner for 20 k , he had 10 and I gave him the other 10. I’m 65 and still very active! We fish , hunt and play golf together when we’re not working. Yep I’m very proud of how he turned out

I'm 41 and mine will be 8 in June, I'll be 42 two weeks before she turns 8.

She's a great kid. Very artistic, in the gifted program at school, was 2nd in her class in pretty much every subject, and is both a Cub and Girl Scout.

Wife and I are both 44. Will be empty nesters in 5 months. Oldest is a freshman at LSU. She has a great head on her shoulders. In pre-vet and crushed first semester, just like her mom always did in college. Son is a senior in high school with a good head on his shoulders also. National Merit Finalist that will attend either LSU or Kentucky in civil engineering.

As others have said, there will be bumps along the way. However, if you emphasize family, respect and hard work, they will turn out as good productive members of society.
