Gay bar was T-trax and whatever it was called before that. But T-trax evolved to more of a mixed club.

Large groups of girls went there to act like they were tired of hard dicks at other bars.

Once we found out it was on son.

we made friends with the extremely gay guy that guarded the parking lot and picked out who got in and who didn't.
Think I remember his name being Byron Martin.

Once we got over how extremely flamboyantly gay he was,he was a real cool guy.
Got me and my friends into all the big blackout parties downtown and shite.

We went to Xanthas....I didn't really remember a bar across the street at that time. I was going in 86 though (highschool)

Anybody remember "The Shelter" downtown? It was a place where you could roll the night away.

Xanthas

This country boy had never seen the likes of a bar of this nature.

I was content to tolerate the laser lights, the freaky techno music, and the Cyndi Lauper look-alikes wearing 3 watches on one arm.

Then I saw 2 dudes make out for the first time in my life, and it was time to GTFO.

Yep. Used to be my old stomping ground, doing exactly what you mentioned.

Anyone remember 2010 by Cortana? I was too young to go there when it was open, but I got the impression that it was also quite "rolly" and also not the safest place to hang out.

No. It was on the corner of Florida & Third. It was Richoux's during the day for lunch. It's being renovated currently to house a Raising Cane's.
