Old Firestone/Air Chief Radio/Record Player Console

Anyone have any experience working on these things?

LINK

I have a 1949 model that I saved from a decease relative. Had it restained recently and looks great. The radio lights up when turned on and the record player spins, but there is no sound.

Any ideas of the likely culprit? How hard is it to change out vacuum tubes and/or a rectifier, and how hard are these parts to come by?

I'm excited to hear how great this thing sounds.

You need a new needle.

Old Eastern Bloc countries or North Korea. I remeber taking vacuum tubes to the Rexall drug to check them out.
