This is really off-topic, even for the OT, but I'm trying to procure a torque & test unit on a monthly basis or maybe 6 months. I need the unit, not the unit AND a crew.

If you or anyone you know has one sitting in their yard collecting dust and wants to make some money off of it, I'll gladly rent it. I need it by Friday morning and will pick up anywhere.

If I get even one response to this I'll be ecstatic.

Francis Torque Service maybe.

Any Hytorc unit will work also. Those can be rented.
I see G&C Bolting Services in Houston offers it.

Assuming you're actually needing it in or around Tyler, I'm sure any on the East Texas/N. LA service providers that do nipple ups would have one sitting around to rent. Haven't worked up there in a while so I don't knows still around. A quick google search should produce a handful of them.

There's a place in Houma, Triton Rentals or Triton Energy or something like that.

Actually need it in South TX, but there aren't many available down there and they're really expensive. I'm branching out into the ETX, NWLA, Acadiana, and even Mississippi to find one.

Most companies won't rent the until without the crew to go with it, they don't want to send out a unit and put a crew without their equipment should they get a job of their own.

Under wraps right this second.

Company just picked up a new MSA and got a multi-rig deal for all the nipple up/nipple down. We have one unit, desperately need another. We got a call late last night looking for us to do a job and we couldn't find the unit and had to turn the operator down, we can't turn them down again or we'll never get any more of their work. We'll sub it out if we have to but that won't look good just starting off.

I'm actually working for free helping this guy get the equipment and some work, if I do well I'll get a nice position.

I can see that in S Texas. A lot more activity down here and the service providers are a little more level loaded. What's the scope of your project that you need it for?

ETA.

Seeing the post above I'd hit up the auctions. Lots of equipment being auctioned that needs a little work. You'll be hard pressed to rent a unit from an existing service provider to use it for work that they could pick up.

How much you doing these NU/ND jobs for if I may ask?

They have torque wrenches, I'm looking for a torque & test unit. Much bigger torque wrench and hydrostatic testing equipment.

It looks like this...

Yea, need it by Friday though. The only one we have right now is on a frac and probably won't be done by then.

I know it'll be hard for an existing company to part with one, which is why I'm reaching out into ETX, NWLA, Acadiana, & MS; where companies aren't working and probably won't get any for awhile. I know for a fact there's companies that have units that have been sitting for months in those areas.

As far as pricing, I can't have you trying to guess the operator and then going to underbid me lol!
