This sounds like a super villain origin story.

Naw, some individual regular bee hives are more aggressive. Some rare hives are super aggressive. One of my sons has a hive that is aggressive. He had to move it in his truck. Said everything was fine till the very end when he hit a few extra hard bumps next to where he was taking it to. When he moved it he said he could tell they were livid but he was completely decked out in his bee keepers outfit. But forgot to tighten some string? around his lower shirt. Ended up with over 100 stings on his back and neck. Gave him some benedryl when he finally got here, and he was ok. Point is, this bee hive was sawed into and the guy was trapped. Every fricking bee in the hive is gonna sting you if you attack it.

How do you get a lemon tree to survive in Ohio? Or get big enough that you can climb?

I remember seeing The Swarm as a kid. That movie where Killer Bees invade New Orleans and they kill the bees using the Superdome's AC.
I used to be terrified of the Killer Bees. I remember reading they made it to Texas. Then they just disappeared.

That is legit the stuff of nightmares. Not sure I can fall back asleep after reading that account. Might as well go out for a jog.
