I used to live at the very end of Cimarron. No neighbors behind my back fence. It was basically floodplain for Oso creek. I pray that you and all of my old neighbors stay safe.

Update: Got generator, got fuel, lots of water containers. At this point I'm only worried that I did not board up. I will be concerned if we experience Cat 4 winds.
The rain is steady with wind gusts. Not a lotta people out and about. Maybe only 30% in my neighborhood boarded. Weather channel says no worry for me as far as storm surge. I do worry about the OSO river. Its been very dry so there are a lot of places to handle water.
Thinkin I'm goin sailin with Captain Morgan in a lil while.

I remember the flooding then. I was in elementary school too. It was probably a foot of water around our neighborhood.

Houston's on Buffalo Bayou which drains a large area from the west and northwest. Two huge 'catchements' are just west of state route 6 and north of I-10. Not that either will make any difference for all the runoff for all the concrete that is Houston Inside the middle loup.
