Business partners Matt Noel, from left, Chris Shaheen and Sammy Nagem have finally broken ground on The Oasis, an entertainment complex that will feature a sports bar, sand volleyball, a new Sammy’s restaurant concept and more

The Oasis includes a sports bar
quote:

We’re going to offer virtual golf on the patio area and in the right atmosphere, that’s a great recreational opportunity because people can get an outdoor feel,
quote:

Kickball, wiffle ball, flag football,” he adds. “All of those create unique competitive recreational activities that bring people together, and then we want to give them a place to socialize afterward.”

The Oasis includes a sports bar, but it’s just a part of the larger vision Shaheen has for a six acre tract of land (and room for further expansion) that’s located across Burbank from Lakeside Daiquiri & Grill.

I always thought there needs to be a Coconut Beach concept closer to LSU. I support this.

I had some friends that rented the single wide on that land in college.

Guess the old man finally sold it

NBR doesn't strike me as the type to engage in sand volleyball activities. Now if there were basketball courts...

Where is the designated area for patrons to resolve seating arguments?

You know, like a miniature Sonic within the complex.

One of the best complexes in the Gulf South is just a 10 minute drive down I-12
