Probably not. All I know is what I saw driving through the state on their interstate highway and it all looked the same to me.

Doesn't sound like it's a good place to make money, though.

In NW New Mexico there's a big Oil & Gas industry...oh, what a minute...
But really, O&G and ranching are the big industries plus a lot of federal dollars due to the Indian reservations .

Haven't read the whole thread...

Anyone mention Chaco Canyon yet? Pretty awesome. Kinda like Mesa Verde but with less funding to do more archaeology... so they let you pretty much walk all over it wherever you want for ten bucks.

Amazing place.

Been living in the Albuquerque area for about ten years. Love it. Plenty of outdoor activities, cost of living is cheap, salaries are good, people are great, food is good.

I miss the old Bobcat Bite. I know that they reopened it in a different location but it's not the same and definitely not the vibe the old place had.

I've been all over, but not there!

Wanna hear something cool?

The cliff dwellings wouldn't be possible if not for the ash the volcano that Valles Caldera once was was spewing!

I traveled East to west going, and then north to south on the way back.

Severely depressed and contemplate suicide? New Mexico is pretty awesome with some really nice scenery. I've done some travelling through most of the state, but have never lived there. From my encounters it's beautiful and the people seem really nice. You really can't go wrong with the Southwest.

Albuquerque is dangerous but hiking Sandia Mountain was a cool experience..saw a "watch out for mountain lions" sign. Had candied cactus. It tasted like shite. Other than that there were some pretty cool Mesas and the northern part of the state is beautiful.

That's all i've got. It's been 6 years since i've been to NM

Look at all them kivas!

True story: One time I took a hike that started with a swim across a river...to go canyoneering.

We found an untouched dwelling still with corn cobs and a metate and everything!
