Growing up in shitty conditions doesn't give people an excuse to be a shitty person. I applaud this kid, not because of his actions, but because in 8 years of his life he's shown more courage and responsibility than some people who have lived 5x his life in similar conditions. He didn't choose the conditions he was forced to live in, but he sure learned courage and responsibility from somewhere.
