At first this seemed like a crazy/stupid idea, but I actually think their reasoning is sound. Playboy always tried to position itself upmarket and as something a bit provocative. But even back in the day it was not hard core. There actually are good writers and interviews in the magazine. It has a strong brand, but basically no one goes there for nudity anymore b/c of ready availability from other sources, so they are going to focus on the remaining strengths. Cutting the nudity will allow it to be distributed more broadly, both here in the US and internationally.

I get it, but there's a very anti-PC movement right now. I get their strategy and it makes sense on the surface, but what it's going to do is alienate long-time customers and subscribers like me. I doubt I'll find the time or energy to call and cancel but I'm not a fan of the decision.
