So my friend (40yo) is completely caught up with this woman, who is just a horrible person. They have been together for the last 3 years.

At the halloween party we attended on Saturday night, she was holding hands with another guy. And let the random dude fondle her breasts and arse. In front of my friend, who was naturally quite bothered by this.

He didn't leave her at the party. And as of this morning they are still together.

He is worried she will try to commit suicide if they break up, they broke up 2 years ago and she stabbed herself in front of him. Her brother committed suicide this summer, and she has multiple attempts at suicide.

Our group of friends are planning an intervention on this. Any ideas/suggestions/stories to share?

Not too late to get pregnant. Honestly a baby is probably the only thing that will fix things at this point, it sounds pretty bad.

Obviously this girl has major issues. It's not your friend's fault. She needs treatment ASAP. Seek out a good mental health professional.

He's not responsible for an unstable woman.

Sounds like she has some issues. Him too for dealing with this over years.

I know how it feels to care and worry for someone, but she's obviously looking out for herself. He should too.

if he doesn't leave her after that, screw both of them. Neither is worth the effort.

Whatever. The BF likes and enables this shite. Don't be fooled. Some part of him likes the drama that this woman brings with her. Does he have low self esteem as well?

That's delusional of him to think that he's the one that's keeping her alive and that it's up to him to save her.

Sounds like they deserve each other.

1. Break up with her & she offs herself
2. No crazy ex gf to worry about trying to ruin his life after breakup
3. ???
4. Profit

The guy is 40. A grownup fully capable of making mistakes to make his own life miserable.
