The period the OP was referring to were my high school years (graduated in '82). I'd go back in a heartbeat.

A few more:

Texas Instruments calculators with all the advanced functions

Lightning Bolt clothes/flip-flops (These were huge in South Florida)

Puka bead necklaces (can proudly say I never wore one)

I saw that Burger King photo was immediately reminded of Mr. Cook burger joints.

Anyone remember Britain's "Dave Allen, At Large"? (Late night comedy of the 70's.) Used to love that stuff as a teenager.

Like a Prayer

And Nintendo was magical. Atari was fun but Nintendo was such a marvel. How about Nintendo cereal, the Super Mario Bros Super Show (with Zelda on Fridays), and Captain N?

Has Linda Kozlowski from Crocodile Dundee been brought up yet. Man, the things I used to do to myself over her....

And I don't know what the name of this thing was. You either know what it was, or don't.

That thing connected my ColecoVision to the old school TV!

I had one of those!

Reminds me of the little black and white TV mom bought me and my brother so we could play our Atari 2600 in our room. Hours of games like Yars Revenge, Defender, Asteroids, River Raid.... good times.
