It's basically Crusader Kings 2 but modern day. The base game starts in 2000 but I downloaded a mod that makes it start in 2016. Which sucks because if you play as America, you start out as a democrat. And the nation becomes upset if you try leaning right and try to become a republican.

It's also like Civilization. Except a lot less cartoony and a whole lot more complex. You can play as any nation you desire, but you can't take over the world like in civilization. You can't even declare war unless they perform a hostile action towards you. You can stage a terrorist attack in your own nation and pin it on another nation. But if you fail, your citizens get extremely upset. Idk I really can't explain it. You'll have to play it yourself or watch people play it on YouTube.

This gives you somewhat of an idea of how complex the game is.
In the year 2017, the number of Muslims entering the country increased exponentially. And there was a terrorist attack in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. I put a temporary ban on Muslims. And I had one last terrorist attack in Seattle a little while after I banned them. Then Iran tried launching nukes at Germany. So me (the US) and just about all of Europe and a couple of other countries attacked Iran. So Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. all declared war on us. North Korea launched a middle. So China and Russia took care of them. It's just a fricking fun arse game. You literally get to be the president of the united states or whatever you want to be.

This is what I do not understand. NK is 1/6 the size of Texas, their only ally is China, but I am sure the word ally is used loosely by the Chinamen. In fact, they are condemning this. If NK would attack another country, is there another country that would be behind them? No. The worst thing they could do is become a serious threat to another country. They don't have the resources to get into a war. They just do that shite so they can make their citizens think they are stronger than they actually are. It would be in the world's best interest if they were invaded and turn it over to South Korea.

Well, that is what was thought before the Korean War, too. How are we to know that China's "condemnation" is nothing more than smoke and mirrors? NK is getting stuff from somewhere...

There appears to be something brewing, but it isn't readily apparent yet - or maybe it is. NK is full-on crazy (or are they just a puppet???); China is screaming about the waters around their man-made islands (which are being armed, btw); and Russia is poking us with a mighty big stick (ie, that fighter flying within 10 feet of our plane)...

What do you expect him to do? Invade NK? Totally destabilize the region? This is actually one situation where EVERY major power is in agreement. Just humor the poor bastards until the regime falls. EVERY single country. But you didn't know that did you? You probably couldn't place NK on a map. Because if you could you would realize why any action would be incredibly foolhardy. The South doesn't want it, the Chinese and Russians don't want it.

These were the reviews today:

quote:

United States - President Barack Obama condemned the test saying he had agreed with South Korea and Japan to work with the UN Security Council "to vigorously implement existing measures imposed in previous resolutions, and to take additional significant steps, including new sanctions"

Japan - North Korea is an "outlaw nation in the neighbourhood"

South Korea - "Such provocation will further accelerate its path to self-destruction"

Russia - "We insist that the North Korean side stop its dangerous escapades and unconditionally implement all resolutions of the United Nations Security Council"

China's foreign ministry said it would lodge a diplomatic protest and urged North Korea to avoid further action that would worsen the situation.

So tell me. What would YOU do?
