Same kind of snake you killed eating a copperhead.

Poisonous snakes stay away from areas where King snakes live.

Make sure you check your bed before you get in it.

Yeah I was unaware king snakes are on the endangered species list. Much the same way I had no clue they killed ONLY venomous snakes, never their own kind and other non venomous snakes. Also had no clue that venomous snakes only feed on unsuspecting people and pets, no mice or varmint.

I love threads that don't go exactly like the OP's feeble little mind imagined.

I know people hate snakes, but King snakes are great snakes to have around. They eat a lot for a snake, and they like rats, mice and other snakes.
If I found one in my backyard I would feed it and make it comfortable, because I know I won't have any other snakes to worry about.

You're still trying to justify killing a good snake. Are you aware that you're a dumbshit?

King snakes are awesome. I used to catch and keep snakes for a while in a 10 gal aquarium outside as a kid, feed them for a while, then release them. I had rat snakes, hognose, and just one King snake. The King actually escaped my aquarium because he was just a boss.

It was dark and it was getting killed first and asking questions later. Saw my dog point it out and there was a possibility he was bitten. Next time I'm trapping it and I'll have the OT ophiologists come dispose of it

the actual funniest part is how there's been 10 hours and 4 pages worth of "that's a good snake, dumbass!!", and yet people are still compelled to come in and repeat the same thing to show how outdoorsy and knowledgeable they are.

Well our region is crawling with morons that think killing things is the pinnacle of being outdoorsy, regardless of what it is or how you do it. So maybe this board is just counterbalancing.

However this same topic was discussed not even a month ago
