No different that a gotdamn dog that barks all day/night.

I've come real close to firing my dirt bike up a 2:00am just to prove that point to a past neighbor.

By your avatar I can see why your response to the OP is as it is. You are used to enjoying other's misfortunes.

Who cares. People that buy dirt bikes are trashy. People that but dirt bikes w no place to ride but a neighborhood are dumb. People who allow their kids to ride them after neighbors complain are selfish

frick them and their stupid loud dirt bikes

They will turn them into teens driving trucks to the mall w modified exhausts and six inch lifts and extra special bass speakers.

They will fail in life because mommy and daddy would never say no.

Go bust their arse OP, it is their only hope at a sucessful life

I had one of these as a pre teen, XR 75 with a cut off bassani on it.

The neighbors hated me

You sound like a huge dick.. so what that their dirtbikes are loud?

Worried about hitting them? Drive the speed limit and pay attention - you should be doing this anyway

Calling the cops for kids riding dirtbikes??

Come on man, they really aren't hurting anything you're just being a dick on a power trip.. let them do their thing and stop being so fricking petty

And I'm calling bullshite on this.. you're just trying to elevate your complaint

If you knew enough about dirtbikes to know that they 'modified their exhaust'( ), then you would probably ride also, which would mean you wouldn't be such a bitter POS neighbor who calls the cops on kids

People on this board need to remember, we are only hearing one side of this story

bullshite. Just because you are one of those that enjoy doing that kind of stuff with zero regard for your neighbor doesn't make it right. You live in a NEIGHBORHOOD. If you have OT cash like most say, buy acreage and do it all day. Some people enjoy being able to unwind in the afternoons and weekends and not have to put up with trashy redneck bullshite.

frick off, I don't even have a dirtbike, and my neighbors and I get along just fine

People just get bent out of shape because they can't control what other people are doing

And this isn't directed towards you, cause frick you, but I know that there are times where dirtbikes can be obnoxiously loud and ridiculous, but this guy tried to cover up his pettiness (and that's all this is) by saying he called the cops because they 'aren't a legal street vehicle' and that he was worried about someone getting hit... HE LIVES ON A CUL DE SAC - where most normal people know their neighbors so they know that kids are around and there isn't hardly any thru traffic... if they aren't in his yard or riding at night, what are they hurting? Besides being so loud that this guy can't watch Ellen in the morning or take his 1:00 PM nap

I race dirt bikes... have for 40 years. So does my kids. They don't ride on the damn street though. You're touching on the stereotypical white trash element that mostly rides ATV's and leaves beer cans all over the riding trails. frick those guys.

I get that, I really do, but like I said you're only getting one side of the story.. these kids could just be riding from their house to the woods, levee, or wherever so they can ride, then just coming home.. I wouldn't have a problem with that

If the kids are treating the cul de sac like a freestyle MX event, then yea, frick them.. but people with dirtbikes aren't riding them on the street because they frick up the tires

My neighborhood is about a mile long by a 1/2 mile side .. it's urban ,so no woods .

They literally treat the neighborhood like a track and go wide open , around and around .

Imagine getting home from work at 5;00 , sitting down , wanting to have some peace .. and dirt bikes ripping up and down , wide open passed your house for two hours .

Just think about it .

I live in a neighborhood that was developed to have 110 1/2 acre lots. There are were only 12 custom homes built before the market tanked in 08. So we have a lot of woods and the neighborhood abuts about 2000 acres owned by the pipeline company.

All residences except one have multiple 4 wheelers. But we all have a huge piece of land to ride on and every damn body who has an ATV rides back there. But of course we all have to ride on the neighborhood pavement to access the trails. Most of us never ride up and down the streets but to access those trails.

We do have one family who let their 2 teen boys(and their friends from other neighborhoods) use our streets as a race track on weekend nights and during summer break week nights. Many times until past 11pm. It can get annoying but I know them real good and usually just walk down to the street and shoot the shite with the kids for a few minutes and ask them to go ahead and shut it down for the night. Or call their dad and he will ride up on his 4 wheeler and tell them to shut it down.
