Live on a cul-de-sac .

Neighbor at the end of the street has four kids , all in there teens .

Each one has a dirt bike , and drive them wide open up and down the street and throughout the neighborhood . They've been modified with mufflers or no mufflers to the point where its very loud.

I've contacted HOA and they said they cant do anything , that I need to call the cops each time and file a complaint. - I've called the cops twice and they dont seem to have any interest in wrangling up kids on dirt bikes.

There is some dumb FB group page for the neighborhood and I dont seem to be the only one complaining. You have some that tell everyone to STFU and let kids be kids . Then you have some that want peace and quiet in the neighborhood and are tired of these frickers riding in the evening.

There are a few reasons i'm against it :

Non street legal bikes
What if one gets hit ?
very loud

I know i'm the a-hole , but has anyone else dealt with this ?

They'll be gone in a couple of years. Or sooner if they're daredevils.

If this is in the daytime, you suck.

If this is at night, their parents suck.

Unless they are doing this after 10:00 PM, you need to get over it.

We had to deal with this. They'd only do it during the day so no noise violations really or not enough people home to give a crap. Needless to say it was fricking annoying. They eventually moved out. Have you gone over and talked to their parents?

Have you tried talking to the parents in a calm, reasonable fashion? Nah, you don't seem like that type.

Sack up and ask the parents to tell them to chill out?

And quit being a pussy.

Unless you have a newborn at home and its waking them up. That would set me off for sure.

Likely people who have shitty kids.

I used to not understand people who hate kids, but the older I get, the more I hate them too.

I don't think there's a law against it as long as it's before a certain time.

Sneak in the garage at night and clip their brake lines.

You have too much faith in people (much less parents) being calm and reasonable.

Had the same kind of thing happen in my neighborhood. Silently complained to myself and one day I found out the kid (23-24 y/o) got into an accident and had to have part of his hand amputated. I lol'd. These things have a way of working themselves out.

I was just wondering if he attempted that avenue first before going straight to the HOA/police. I'm abundantly aware that people often aren't calm or reasonable, especially concerning their kids.

Quit trying to bolster you argument. You are only concerned with one of these. If you haven't had a polite conversation with your neighbor about this yet-then why not?

As they ride by your house, throw a crowbar into their spokes.

Tie some fishing line to a tree... walk across the street and tie the other end to another tree. Then open up a beer and wait.
