I never said driving drunk was a right. I do have the right to refuse an unconstitutional order though

Nothing like celebrating the anniversary of our nations independence like having a search and seizure of our blood. Dictated by a judge who issues warrants like a crack dealers and no real thought put into it. Usurping the rights many fought to protect.

If you conduct yourself the way you are perceived here we can definitely come to the conclusion you're a shithead.

He just isn't dumb, he's a Federal Agent, which is arrogant and dumb.

Sure I do.

I see evidence of it every day.

You will shoot my dog or beat my elderly mother if she isn't cooperating.

Then only difference between you and a street thug is the badge.

Your smug attitude on an anonymous message board gives you awa.

How do you know the people you search are drunk? Everyone is stopped and searched at checkpoints.

No reasonable people are defending drunk driving around here. What people are very upset about are stops which demand people (who have done nothing to arouse suspicion) prove their innocence. This is what is unfair and unconstitutional.

I fully support the right of the police to test anyone driving erratically but I despise the attitude of many law enforcement that they have a right to dictate and bully rather than serve and have no obligation to defer on the side of the constitution. Instead their attitude is they will extend and abuse their own power at the expense of the citizens they should respect and serve.

I hope the cops arrest every drunk or "tipsy" driver on the roads this holiday weekend

Exactly. Nobody is claiming they have the right to drive drunk.

Cops aren't experts on the law, so take what they say with a grain of salt.

I hate to bring this up after 6 pages of scholarly constitutional discussion but... Has anyone seen a link or some evidence that these events will occur this weekend beyond what is in the OP?

I would hate to think this was just a big troll to get people riled up. Oh, and I hope the smug Florida guy isn't really a "Federal Agent" because I would hate to think that someone in that position would be so stupid as to come on the OT and brag about himself.

Agreed. Even a pedophile isn't guilty until they commit a crime.
