It seems that traffic tickets are rarely overturned when challenged. However, this judge applies common sense, reason, and a good-natured dash of compassion.

Pretty funny too....

What are even the odds a meter maid is right there at 9:59 to hand out a ticket?

Glad the judge did the right thing.

This reminds me of those assholes on that parking wars show or whatever it's called. Truly, the scum of the Earth, but hey, whatever puts food on the table.

I imagine these idiots who write these tickets are really miserable in real life. Working those shitty jobs and trying to project that on to the people they write the tickets to.

How long was she parked there before the ticket was written?

Technically she violated the law, but glad the judge saw the humor in it.

Parking Wars? I find myself agreeing with those parking people 9 times out of 10. The citizens of Detroit and Philly that they ticket and boot are complete irresponsible morons that think they can just roll up and park anywhere.

That's easily within a standard deviation of the mean time on a random sampling of watches. No reason to write that ticket.

That's why I didn't mention the citizens, they're a bunch of idiots too. But those attendants think they are some gift from God or some shite.

That accent is like nails on a chalkboard. I'd still place the LSU parking fricks above them on the frivolous a-hole shite they pull....

You leave her out of this. She was just trying to make it in a place that didn't want her

That's straight from the article. I would assume it means she parked at 9:58 and was given a ticket a minute and 58 seconds later.

After watching the video, her argument doesn't make sense. She said her clock in the car said 10, but in the video the first thing she says is she parked at "literally" 9:58. Not saying she deserved the ticket, just kinda funny.

This.

I'm glad the judge dismissed it, but there's simply no way this lady really did show-up at 9:58. If she had and saw the parking attendant, then she would just sit in her car for two more minutes.

I bet she got there at like 9:45 and thought she'd sneak in before the street got mobbed and all the spots were taken (I do this all the time as well), and she got caught. Got lucky on the time, though, and got it dropped.
