Why do any sales people continue to think this is a winning idea?

As soon as I see that shite, I just say frick it, next.

Because they want to reach out to you and try to sell you a home. You want info? You're gonna have to become a prospect.

Because most people will give it to them and then get hooked. Cars and boats are the same way, a lot of times will make you contact them to even get the price so they can warm you up with the pitch in the process. Frustrating as hell but if it didn’t work they wouldn’t do it.

Because it shows you have some skin in the game. You know how many tire kickers come along that waste time and effort?

It’s actually usually easier to find the listing elsewhere. That way I’m not adding clicks to those using this tired tedious tactic.

Yeah, because showing someone pictures is soooooo time consuming.

If the salesperson is doing work for that person, sure.

But viewing online photos? Come on.

At somepoint, tech and society will evolve, and housing sales will be handled by companies. Private party sales will still exist but will be reduced.

Housing companies will sell you a "new" house or they will sell you a "used" house. They will buy "used" houses or accept them on trade and sell "used" houses. They will offer streamlined financing options.

It will further evolve, with guarantees and "no haggle" pricing.

You will see this in 10 years.

I'm not looking to buy or sell, but I do like to look at some houses online. I stop if they ask for the email etc... most of the time. Sometimes, I've put in a fake address. It's annoying.
