So when I was running around my neighborhood as a kid with toy guns playing army with my friends, I could have been shot by a cop and people would have justified it? Good to know.

Maybe I'm just ignorant of how grand juries operate, but wouldn't charges have been filed if this case was that open and shut? I'd like to think grand juries tend to err on the side of returning charges and letting court trials play out even if the case is 50/50 at best?
