You aren't going to the right places. Your version of all over must be tourist destinations. Go to the ME, China, Russia, and some of the Eastern European garden spots and see how that goes. And shove your ignoramus comment up your arse.

It was here that Omin realized that the job might be challenging, but getting into America could now be impossible.

So being in the top 1% of tech people in Africa somehow finds that understanding of a BST is impossible and harder than the job he is performing?

This guy needs to be sent back purely for the fact that his shite code will likely get somebody killed.

frick these open border asshats. Every other country in the world has zero issue aggressively questioning people seeking entry into their country but when the US does it they get up in arms. News flash, people come here to do bad things. We have every right to question their motives. At least we don't openly demand bribes like some of the shite hole places I have been.

I've been selected for "additional screening" a few times. They went through my bags, asked me questions, told me I would miss my flight if necessary, etc. Took them only a few minutes and I was on my way. Was I pissed? Not really. Inconvenienced? A little, but that's life. They never touched my butthole.

..........

So they asked him a couple of questions related to his field while they called to verify his identity and background. Then they let him go. Jesus, talk about trying to stir up faux outrage about immigration.

This is a fricking non-story.

Pretty much this. If you are here legitimately, you should be OK, if not, don't try.

You are right. We should let people in just because they say they are talented.

If he has an issue with BST ordering then he is about as far from top talent as possible. Instead he is likely taking the job of a top talented US citizen because he costs peanuts.

It's been years since I have dealt with the terminology but I could handle this task in a matter of seconds. This is frosh level.

I have been a software engineer for 17 years and I even employ a native Nigerian. I would gladly answer that question to any customs officer of any nation and probably joke about it.

It's the equivalent to asking a police officer to state the Miranda warning. I don't think some of you understand how basic a question this is for a SE.

That's a dumb statement. It completely depends on the area of expertise and type of engineer.
