Does CA still have the movie star line at DMV, where you can pay $25 or whatever so as not to be forced to associate with the great unwashed?

Is he gonna require the state to buy plane tickets for people who were planning to ride the bus to a different state?

This is the best part about 1st class. I love the walk of shame the coach people have to take as they're paraded by.

Airline lounges next?

How about they look at the awful inefficient mess that government has created with the airline industry that things like TSA Precheck and Clear are even needed

No shite. I had to fly out of Orlando on a Saturday morning a few weeks ago and the security zone was the most God awful clusterfrick I have ever seen.

Clear just funnels their people into the TSA Pre-check line. Not the regular line

Clear sends you to the regular line if you don't have Precheck. It's completely separate from the Precheck system.

Why someone would do clear without Precheck? I don't know.

I will say I've only had to use Clear a few times (like Seattle which has notorious long Precheck lines). Clear needs to speed up their process. It's only useful if Precheck is over like 50 so people deep because Clear is so slow.

The amount of money wasted on TSA employment, the amount of time wasted by Americans standing in line, an entire industry of “travel sized” shite like lotions all for the political theater that is airline security is insane and the Taliban truly won the war with their plan.

To prevent another 9/11 literally all we had to do was implement locking cockpit doors and arming pilots. But TSA is just a jobs program now

honestly it’s fairly ridiculous that you can pay a fee and all of a sudden be less of a security risk. Hard to argue that it makes the skies any safer

yes I’m aware that there’s a background check. I had to go thru all that to get a TWIC. But 99.9% of the unwashed masses in the TSA line can pass a background check. It doesn’t mean shite

All you are promoting is a difference between the ultra wealthy and everyone else. Collapsing all other classes into the same bucket - downwards.

Very liberal of you. The ultra-wealthy will always get a pass in every way, there is no stopping that. Taxes. Flights, etc. Let the next 10% of the population have something. And let the rest have something to shoot for. Aim higher than themselves.

TSA Precheck with Clear is the only way to travel. Sadly, my AA Advantage boarding group 6 needs work.

1/2 the time TSA PreCheck is faster than Clear, even if you have TSA Clear.. At least that is the case at JFK, LaGuardia, LAX, MIA and MSY for about the last year. IAD is worse than those. SFO Clear TSA is usually much faster.

The lines for CLEAR are longer and more inconvenient than the standard TSA PreCheck line. Even though I have both CLEAR and TSA PreCheck I go to the TSA PreCheck line almost exclusively for the last year.

Typical CLEAR

- Pass by 3-4 Clear employees trying to sign people up
- Enter the line
- Wait 5-10 minutes because only two employees are scanning passengers
- Wait for the people in front of me (that probably just signed up) to struggle with machine reader
- Wait for guide to work at least two machines
- Eye scan takes at least 2-3 times (move closer, move further away)
- Open my phone airline app and scan boarding pass
- Boarding pass awkwardly won’t fit in scan area and doesn't scan. Adjust brightness and try again
- Get randomly ID checked for the 10 out of the last 12 times I’ve flown
- Give agent my ID
- Get annoyed for not going to regular TSA PreCheck/regret not doing TSA Precheck line
- Wait on agent to get second group scanned, so they can bring us together

Typical TSA PreCheck

- Enter the line, wait 30 seconds - 2 minutes
- Scan your ID (most airports no longer need to show boarding pass)
- Wait on a group of Clear to go in front of me.
- look back at Clear line to see how many people are still in line that were in line when I decided to go TSA PreCheck instead

The clear line oftentimes take us longer than the TSA Pre line.

And flying SUCKS in general.

How about that quick eye contact you make with us coachers when we walk by? As I am making that walk of shame through the elite, I have the eye contact moment with many on my left and my right. I stare until they look away. Do you look away or make sure to assert your dominance?
