those are not NOPD codes

some are similar... but not a lot of it

The ten codes are the same. The offense codes are all wrong.

between my two posts that should cover most codes you hear. You see NOPD uses national and their own codes.

knew the 10 codes were... didn't know if some of the lesser calls were

when I was in the designated police scanner listener of the newsroom we mostly listened for those 34/30, 29U, 29F and some of those ones you never hope to hear like bomb or whatnot

see my next post. Those are right.

I was listing the national codes first, NOPD uses some of both.

Channels 3 and 4 are your best bet for action right now. 2 gets better around 1am when they start moving in central city.

Eta: and those are the right signal codes, napoleon.

I know... CSB but I'm going to say it anyway...

at work 1 day... got a splitting freakin' headache but couldn't afford to go home early so I as at the desk listening to the scanner...

suddenly a 108 call came with an officer down... called command desk and confirmed they were working an officer down call and right then everything kicked into high gear

ETA: didn't end well for the poor female cop... killed by a 103M (he was legit nuts)

If it's Midcity and French Quarter you're on 1. 2 is Uptown and central city. 3 is Lakeview and the east. 4 is towards 9th Ward and Algiers.

I find first district (Midcity) is active during day, 7th (east) and St. Roch/9th and Algiers evening. 6th (Central city) late night. Of course, it's sporadic.

Also, the first digit of the unit numbers you hear are the District. Numbers that end in multiples of 10 are supervisors.
