New Orleans mayoral candidate Frank Scurlock charged with assault over arrest at monument

Scurlock might be crazy but charging him is all political
City prosecutors have upped the charges against businessman and mayoral candidate Frank Scurlock on Wednesday over an incident involving a New Orleans police officer.
Scurlock — who has not yet filed his official paperwork to run for mayor — was charged in a bill of information with assault and crossing a police cordon. Police accused him of bumping a police officer who was trying to maintain order amid protests over the removal of the Jefferson Davis monument in Mid-City on May 6.
The new charges came one day after Scurlock’s defense attorney, Thomas Robichaux, alleged in a motion that the officer who arrested Scurlock lied in a probable cause affidavit.
Robichaux said in the motion that a video of the arrest posted online “clearly shows that the defendant did NOT bump the officer, but rather, the officer turned and attacked the defendant, forcibly, poking the defendant in the chest with his fingers and knocking him backwards.”

If I lived in Orleans parish, he'd get my vote in a heartbeat just because of his support for the monuments.

That fatass cop is a lying sack of shite. He should have his badge taken and put on trial for that bullshite he put in the report.
It's amazing that all of those cops couldn't be bothered until Gary Chambers Jr. decided to rough up Big Frank and then they come swarming like cockroaches.
