I don't think anyone honestly argues that Nola isn't a fun place to visit.
The issue for most is weighing the desire to have a good time versus putting yourself at risk of crime. Crime is increasing and in areas that are heavily visited by tourists. I think left unchecked, you're going to see more and more people say no thanks to visiting Nola.
