What would it be like for a coupe that's a black guy/white girl? I've gotta a buddy in Colorado that's wanted to go, but was concerned on how is girl would be treated. I figured it wouldn't be a problem, but I couldn't tell him for certain.

Come to the city and have a great time. I went downtown 3 or 4 years ago during essence. Got drug in to House of Blues to see some old crap band called Rat Poison or some shite like that. Only went because my buddy had passes to the Parish room.
Whitest even downtown for sure and in walks Rockin Doopsie with a fine white woman.
We left after a while and went to one of the douschbag upscale pretend dance clubs in the CBD. Five minutes later, in walks Rockin Doopsie with that white woman.
Dude has fine black woman all over the city that weekend and he's running around with some white ho.

I have several black friends with white wives/girlfriends and have never heard anything negative from them.
They are all big guys/NFL players tho so might be treated a little different. Would hope thats not the only reason though. Kinda ridiculous to me that someone would say anything.
I always leave town for summer holidays, spent most of the last decade in Nola, never been around for 4th.

I don't get why people other than servers think Essence is so bad. I lived in the warehouse district for 6 years and never had a problem during Essence other than places are too crowded. Bayou Classic is another story.
