That mid engine Vette will be WAY north of $65000 (over $100k) and will be a legit supercar (the Z06 already is IMO).

If I only had a dollar for every time...
I have had some serious thoughts about trading my old one for a new one, but my wife always tells me, "you are going to wake up one morning regretting that and you are not going to get it back".
Good luck on the new one whatever you decide on.

Maybe. Don't the vettes and V series use different engines?

The CTS V and Z06 share the same engine.

The Z06 is incredible for the price. It just obliterates some cars double or triple its price. Chevy is doing a lot right these days. The Camaro ZL1 1LE is amazing - it even beats the 911 Turbo S on the track. And I don't mean the drag strip. Who would have ever thought a Camaro would be beating supercars on a road course? At Nurburgring the ZL1 1LE posted better lap times than the Ferrari 488, Enzo, Nissan GT-R, Porsche 911 GT3, GT2 RS, Lambo Aventador, Audi R8...

Porsche Boxster S = $64k ...who would even consider a Chevy? ....if someone looking at Chevrolets would even take the time to drive one.

I didn't really care for those at first, but like them more and more every time I see one.

Rumored to start at $65k

It'll be in the 911/Ftype/Benz AMG gts range.
Why shouldn't happen? Ford can do the GT so GM ought to be able to do this.
The fact that GM is even considering something so daring is amazing.

I just hope they continue to hit the nail on the head like they did with the Z06 and the ZL1.

Corvettes are fast as hell but have the reliability of wet garbage.
