Talalay latex (foam rubber), 100% natural. About 6 inches thick should be enough. Last at least 15 years, maybe 30. They never lose their firmness. A lot of mattresses sold today by Serta, Simmons, Sealy etc. have latex layered over springs. Problem is the springs go bad in a few years, like any other spring mattress. And latex never needs to be flipped, which is good because it is heavy.

Just ordered one. Delivery changed my buying experience. Not sure if I will be keeping it.

Placed an order with Saatva. Immediate follow-up was great. Two calls later and no follow-up, service is leaving something to be desired.

Finally reached a representative. They provided me with delivery company's information. I called to schedule an appointment and was informed that the delivery company does not schedule appointments. Instead, they will just "call" when they are in the area - could be a day or it could be a week - company is located in New Orleans. Not satisfied with this answer, because it didn't work for me (I travel weekly), I called Saatva. A representative that I spoke with said this should not be the case and he would follow back up with me. Never heard from him.

Fast forward one day ... I'm out of town and get a phone call from delivery company saying they are on their way. Scrambled to get someone at my house to let them in, as I have been without a bed for a month (had Sleep Number and it was awful for us) and they just "drop off" the foundation and mattress. No set-up. No removal of plastic wrap. No nothing.

I've now been informed by Saatva that this should not have occurred (you think?) and they have refunded me back delivery charges of $99. To attempt to make it right, they're offering a refund of x dollars (trying to figure out a dollar amount) for their poor customer service. They pride themselves on positive reviews and understand they will not be receiving one from me.

Tufts & needle on amazon. Read the reviews. If you have prime its pretty much zero risk.
