Major kitchen renovations can average @ $55K

Looks like appliances, flooring, tile, paint, etc. are all part of your plan.

That picture is now what one would consider "new".

Take quote from reputable contractor.
Double it

That is what it will cost after your wife makes changes and additions.

I know from experience.

Depends on what you have now, what your plans are, what space is available, what demo has to take place and this is also including electrical rewiring.

I wouldn't guess or budget under 20-25K for it.

i'm certain that isn't the only sink. probably just for hand washing during food prep. that kitchen is pretty high end. swap out for mass market appliances, you save 15 grand pretty easily.

Was just about to say this. I've had a secondary prep sink in a kitchen before and it was about that size. Comes in handy sometimes when washing off stuff without having to walk across the kitchen, getting water for a pot, rinsing your hands off while at the stove, etc.

Surprised a bunch on here jumped on him like that. A lot of high end kitchens have those. Guess we see who's never been around high end kitchens in here...

Well initially it started with wanting to buy that light fixture($30) from home depot and that kitchen picture came up. Now it looks like it was photoshopped into the kitchen.

Those cabinets are cheap. I think with a reasonably price range and countertop, something similar to that kitchen setup can be done for 15K-ish?
