Funny a bridge completed in 1968 is still referred to as the new bridge.

On place in the country where !-10 drops to one lane. They need to find whoever profited off of that deal and shoot them in the face.

Traffic in general is fricked right now. Combination of kids out of school and bored, LSU students back in town, folks displaced from Livingston and Ascension parish, volunteers helping to gut homes, and claims adjusters/contractors. All added to the usual fricked up scenario of Baton Rouge traffic.

Just wait until LSU home game weekends.

How about this for a possible win-win for those people that flooded in LP and Ascension without insurance...

Get Feds to apportion a few billion for loop, expropriate property for loop in LP and AP based on pre-flood value.

At what point do y'all concede that traffic in BR is gnarly and quit bitching about it?

dropping to one lane has absolutely nothing to do with this situation

What I don't understand, is how so many wrecks could happen when the flow is already slow because of the increased volume on the road right now.

Amazing that a wreck southbound off of the interstate on the other side of the river brings traffic all the way to a crawl throughout most of Baton Rouge.

The number of people driving south on LA1 to the plants right now is staggering. Dow alone probably has 20000+ people on site right now.
