And he's just saying this now? Attention seeker?

Are you just proving my point now?

So you're saying that the survey is misinformation? If so, why?
And is misinformation really a thing? Or is misinformation just information you don't like? Isn't all information just information that needs to be evaluated in context of where it should and should not be applied?

This guy also thinks aspartame is the cause of Multiple sclerosis... Like all of the sudden sweet N low is the reason people are getting MS. Fack this guy. He is an idiot. He is 75 and probably has Alzheimer's.

So you're saying that the survey is misinformation? If so, why?
quote:Yes. It is wrong or misleading information.
And is misinformation really a thing?
quote:It has nothing to do with what I like. I don’t have a preference other than truth and transparency in data.
Or is misinformation just information you don't like?
quote:And once the context is determined, some information can and should be disregarded instead of used to try to mislead people.
Isn't all information just information that needs to be evaluated in context of where it should and should not be applied?
There are many here that I think deep down know what they are posting isn’t true, but they think they are engaged in a misinformation war with the left, so they feel justified in doing it.

quote:You can dismiss this guy because Asian food is practically 50% MSG and they are some of the smartest people on the planet.
He has been quoted several times in media outlets regarding his position that MSG is toxic to the brain.

It says Neurosurgeon but he is really discussing statistics. Anytime that happens it is really telling. Nothing he discusses is neurosurgeon.

MSG is also naturally occuring in a lot of foods that are very common in many non-Asian diets, including tomatoes, garlic, many cheeses, peas, corn, and mushrooms.

You made me look it up.
This is the way I interpret his hypothesis on aspartame...
He doesn't claim aspartame causes multiple sclerosis. He claims the metabolic breakdown of aspartame to formaldehyde byproducts to formic acid triggering cellular acidosis with methanol byproducts. Methanol poising mimics MS symptoms. Some people are more sensitive to methanol than others.

Do we really need to clog up the OT with these threads every time some baw reads somehting he saw shared on Facebook by a relative?

But the doctor is not anti-vax. His is anti-COVID vax in its current state.
You see the distinction?
Literally page 1 of the anti-vax playbook, “I’m not anti-vax, I’m pro safe vaccines!” It’s disingenuous, easily identifiable horseshite.
Posted on 7/27/21 at 11:26 am to GumboPot
LOL, so even 40% of the quacks have taken the vaccine? That seems pretty good actually.
AAPS Wikipedia page
Of course, I’m sure Wikipedia is a communist propaganda site, so take it for what it’s worth.

Blaylock entered his endorsement of the chemtrails conspiracy theory on an internet radio program called Linderman Unleashed Radio Show where he cited increased levels of aluminum in water bodies and nature with his common sense observations of the skies.
And there are imbeciles here believing every word of his drivel.

That is why you should really only look at peer reviewed stuff.
The utility of peer review was destroyed recently by a study that inserted total crap into peer reviewed journals. Reviewers are biased and lazy, just like everyone else.
The only true answer is to educate yourself and form your own damn conclusions.
First, Link.
Second, where do you source your "research" other than echo chambers for your own personal beliefs?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Extremely small number and almost entirely folks with very serious co-morbidities.
Depending on where you look, the hospitalized folks with very serious COVID illness in the last couple of months are 90+% unvaccinated, and that number is usually higher, like 95+%. And there is very strong data that shows it dramatically lowers transmissions rates.
The vaccine absolutely works to prevent serious COVID illness and death, and to reduce spread. It is still your body, your choice and the government shouldn't mandate it, but it is absolutely working.
Exactly.
quote:
so what the frick are we doing?
Well, people like Gumbo Pot are intentionally repeating false data to gullible people who, under normal circumstances, would be happily taking a vaccine that is very effective and thousands of times safer than the actual disease. Now we have over half the population of southern states who think that this same vaccine is simultaneously:
a. A government conspiracy to control their minds and bodies
b. More deadly than the disease
c. Endorsed by the man they want to be president, but bad because it's also endorsed by the other guy.
d. Full of imaginary autism and 5G nanoparticles.
And every other ridiculous conspiracy theory you can imagine.

Just because he is an expert on the brain and spinal cord doesn’t mean he’s any more of an expert on vaccines than any rando on this board.
This is the same as people swearing by whatever Bill Nye says because he’s the “Science Guy”.
Hell Dr Mahmet (sp?) Oz is a doctor. He has a lot of wacky theories. So much so that other doctors have tried to have him kicked of the faculty at his institution
