My house came with a 4 year old french-door LG. It's fine.

I went to Home Depot recently and found myself browsing the fridge section. It's amazing how many there are that look similar - stainless, french-door - but have wildly different prices. They ranged from just over $1100 to damn near $3k.

I bought all new stainless kitchen appliances last year. Went with Whirlpool for everything(fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher) The fridge is a French Door with refrigerator drawer and bottom freezer. So far so good.

I actually purchased a Viking D3 series a couple of years ago and love it. I'm not a baller, it would only $2,300 and bought it online with free shipping and no taxes.

DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG!!!!

I have been happy with all my Samsung products from TV's to phones, but I HATE my fridge and the Internet seems to say the same from the majority of others. To put it in objective terms, I have had my fridge for 3 years and I am currently waiting on parts for the ice maker and filter housing. It is going to cost 600.00 dollars to fix this piece of crap and finding someone to work on it is a bitch. Oh, and it doesn't keep food as fresh for as long as my last fridge so I am not sure it is holding a constant temp.
Buy anything but a Samsung....or I will sell you mine for a A GREAT price...

Get the one with the big computer screen on the front that lets you look into your fridge without opening it, emails you when your low on items, and has camera feed to your phone.

I don't know how we made it this far without these features.

I advise against Samsung. My freezer just crapped out. The unit was purchased Feb 2015

Looks like I need Napoleon's help

I got cute and got an LG washer and dryer many years ago and a Samsung Refrigerator. I went back to Whirlpool with my latest washer and dryer and wish I had stayed with Whirlpool for the Fridge. I will never stray from the Whirlpool brand again. No comparison. For TVs, stay with Samsung. For appliances Whirlpool.

I have a Samsung and would not recommend it. It looks nice but I am just waiting for this thing to die. I have had it for 4 years now and have had issues with the ice maker and with ice build up affecting the fan. I have been able to fix both myself luckily.

We just got a Samsung Flex and it is pretty awesome. It's an over-under but you can change the bottom right section from a refrigerator to a freezer (or a soft freezer @ 27º. I didn't think a refrigerator would be all that exciting but it really has been a great purchase.

I brushed off the hate and purchased an LG six months ago. I couldn't be happier. Model LMXS30776S is a French door with a third custom chill drawer between the refrigerator and freezer. I use the door-in-door feature more than I thought I would. The LED lighting throughout is a nice touch. My only complaint would be the lower-capacity ice bin. It's fairly easy to use up all the ice cubes but they are replenished within 15-20 minutes. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

I make foods in large quantities quite often. I prefer the freezer on top so we aren't lifting heavy dishes up high to store in the fridge. Keep in mind the things you keep in your fridge and freezer and the access to them when choosing.

Try Bosch. My parents have a full set of kitchen appliances from them, and haven't had any problems.

I have all old school white GE stuff, and everything has been flawless because they are all bare bones. Who the frick wants to watch TV on the fridge anyway?

I've seen some reviews that the pullout freezer are a pain and you have to stack things on top of each other.

Be sure to get one with a pull-out basket at the top of the freezer and you won't have any problems at all. The nice thing about these is that everything is plainly visible and easy to reach. No more leftovers disappearing down a black hole at the back of the bottom shelf.
