I miss my old place in the point. I would pre game at crown and anchor, hop on a free ferry ride, drink all day, ferry home late, close out my tab at C&A and bike/stumble home.

Mardi Gras made easy.

Endymion is going to be awesome this year. I can't wait to see what all the new LED lights look like on the route.

Canal Street runs between Bienville and Earhart.
Pontchartrain Expressway will have terrible traffic heading riverbound and you'll sit in that for a while.

You need to be on the uptown side of Canal St. Then get yourself through Uptown on Tchoupitoulas and home.

hmmm, maybe Bienville to Broad to Earhart could get me there. Provided I leave early

The parade runs on Canal St. so you wouldn't be able to cross to get to Earhart.

If you have 4x4, park on the railroad tracks.

It's abandoned track and less than three blocks from the parade.

Yep. Make sure and mark off as large an area as possible, and then act a fool when people don't acknowledge your land claims.

IS it time yet for the annual thread where we mock these fools? Don't want to miss that one.

Is there any place to watch the parade with no barricades?

I have access to a guaranteed parking spot at my office. So I never have to worry about parking. But it seems to me the onstreet parking can get very, very bad.

There are several churches on Canal St that offer parking with a bathroom pass for a fee. With your kids, you may want to look into that.

Traffic afterwards is going to be a turd show. Always is.
