Never been into LC before, only passed through. In town tonight for a meeting in the morning, staying at Wingate on W. Prien Lake. Suggestions on where to eat, and maybe a laid back atmosphere to hang out for a couple hours after? TIA

ETA: frick BR traffic.

Golden Nugget or Lauberge.

Even if it's just dinner and not gambling.

Your 2nd option is the food court and the mall down the street.

How much are you looking to spend? Are you solo or with others?

Only been to LC once and we just fished the whole time. Just ate what we caught. Love that town.

If you're by yourself, go to the casinos or Luna's downtown

Like said, you're close to the casinos there. Jack Daniels or Embers at L'Auberge or any of the restaurants in Golden Nuggett. The Country Club at GN is awesome to have some drinks. Its pricey though.

Theres also a Buffalo Wild Wings right there near you, but I'm not a huge fan of it.

I'd go downtown to Luna. Great food and a perfect chill bar. Its only 5-10 min away and you could get a taxi if you need it,

Great bar, but when I've been in there it's been pretty rowdy. Wouldn't say it's "laid back."

Buffi's Peauxboys has a boiled crawfish poboy that's very good. Darrell's is very good also. Dan's BBQ Express if you're in a hurry.

If solo, I would consider the following:

Golden Nuggets Country Club and sit at the bar. Can order there. Bar side is laid back and food is pretty good. Can walk to Casino afterwards just to hang out. Pricey

Calla - Great drinks/Great Food/Great atmosphere. Pricey

Lunas - Always has people pretty good sandwiches and fish plates. Real laid back and Luna Live across the street is more of a bar with live music. Good Pricing

121 Bistro - Good bar area, good food and drinks. Decent Pricing.

As far as crowds go

Lunas will be more livelier
121
Country Club - easy to hit the casino if you want
Calla - Won't be as busy as the others but I've had some really good times shooting the breeze with the Bartender. They do most of the drinks from scratch and in house. Last time I went he would always give us tasters of what he was making.

What ever the nice steakhouse in Lauberge (Snake river? eta Embers) has a decent bar side too and a different bar menu that is cheaper. You have to ask for it though.

I'm with 3 other guys. Myself and two of the others are in our early 30's, last guy in his 50's and may not even come with us. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I would still shoot for the barside at Country Club, otherwise I would think about a reservation. The other three you will be good to go. Now, if your just looking to slum it a little, just go to Darrel's eat the sandwich and drink. Still can hit the casinos if you want.
