Not sure. Just saw her fb posts of a view from a window overlooking the beach saying "And people asked me why I joined the Navy...they have the best bases!"
But yeah...military would have whipped me into shape back in my early twenties. I wouldn't have made some of the huge mistakes I did during that time. And would have military perks.

This is another science related degree that entails some high-ish level Biology courses. Probably wouldn't have much to transfer over from your previous or current major.

In all honesty go work offshore. You can make lots of money in a short time so if you wanted to get back into college in a few years you would have a lot of money saved. Friend of mine works 4 on 2 off and brings home about 6k every month. If i was in your spot, i'd do it in a heartbeat. Especially since you have no career direction as is. use the down time on the boats to write your screen play or figure yourself out

I know a lot about this question.
The answer is: finish you film degree and become a college graduate.
Get an entry level job doing anything for little pay.
Do job search after 5 months and brag about how you're a future project manager currently working in the film industry but looking for better benefits. THAT is when you decide on a career.

Have you applied for a Pell grant?

You sound like someone who was forced to go to college even though you weren't close to being cut our for for it. Thanks for taking that tops money.

Didn't you post this under a different name a few months ago?

You can get a job in film if you know someone, but the pay is bad(for a few years at least), the hours are brutal, and it's very competitive.
The pay isn't bad if you can get in with utility, bad that's tough.

Time to find one of those shovel jobs.
Seriously. Get a labor job, toughen up, make yourself some money, put yourself through trade school or community college.
Plenty of people do it. You just have to put out and do it.

Dude. Just get the Interdisciplinary degree (use upper credit from Engineering and get 18 hours in business)
Or as they call it at Georgia Tech, get on the M train.

At this point, do your best to either get a degree to pay the bills or that will open the door to graduate studies in your future. This is your plan b.
While in school now, BUST YOUR arse to land as many school-approved movie internships as you can. Tell those hiring that you're willing to work in any department. Movie department heads will love you because you're paid labor and YOU ARE INSURED BY YOUR SCHOOL. Otherwise, shows won't touch you.
Parlay multiple internships (or luck out and jump right into) into a PA position. Bust your arse and become as liked as possible by as many people as possible. Repeat the process and begin to work your way up from a PA through the ranks of assistant directors (or branch out into other departments).
In general, a film degree is worthless and will land you no coin in and of itself.
Am film graduate.

Wasn't trying for a rating. Its serious advice. If he were my kid, that's what he would be doing. At least has a shot at an office job.
LSU specific: LINK
Its basically a degree with three minors instead of one major. Engineering and Film are obviously two. I'd add Human Resources and get out of school. He can get an office job and go back for a master's later.
