Holy frick. I'm in the wrong profession.


Wedding bands these days push 10 members. The good ones also pay multiple people to handle setup, sound, and lights. When you start cutting that money up, it's not as great as you think. A fun way to make a living, but you're not going to put much away.

I know someone who played in a popular event band and was far from living large. The real paydays are the corporate events. They did a company Christmas party as a last-minute request one time that paid $25k. This was probably 15 years ago too.

Glad to hear Good thing is I didn't really get sticker shock because I read old TD threads on wedding bands before I even looked for someone, and was desensitized by some of the prices people quoted here for other bands.

Three Thirty Seven ended up playing Best Dressed Ball this year, and I saw why they are able to charge what they do. Very good band.

We had the Boogie Men. That's was 10 years ago and still have family members mention how fun our reception was.
