Need a ruling over this bet.

Person A wins a bet which states person B has to buy A lunch.
they go to lunch and person A's lunch has something messed up with it and the lunch becomes comped.
Does person B still owe person A lunch since person B did not pay anything for A's lunch.

Person A shouldn't expect another free lunch, but person B is a cheap bstrd if he refuses. The whole point of the bet was a monetary loss for the loser not to spend the afternoon with you.
