Go to Ross or TJ Maxx or something like that. You can usually find decent brands of luggage there cheap.

Ex: Samsonite wheely carry on for $30-40; larger Samsonite suitcase for around $50-60

I always recommend Eagle Creek. Takes a huge beating, beloved by the traveling outdoorsmen/journeying to the world's shitholes type. They've gotten better about making more business-appearing pieces too.

bought Tortuga backpack and used it for my short trip to Nashville where I stayed 3 nights.

The Tortuga backpack was perfect for me as my carry on.
I didn't open it up and wear it i just toted it around.
Tips on this blog.

I would have this with me next time. I carried my laptop in Tortuga backpack easily though without another backpack for it. They made a place to put it.

Wow this seems very "product placement"ish.

You selling these things bud?

Haha three references by name is certainly suspicious.

This is what I did. I got it from 66%-75% off depending on the item.

If I was going to buy a piece that I would check with the airline regularly, it would be this.

Yeah it's $600, but it has a lifetime warranty

Sorry for putting legit place to click on for what I use.

Next time I'll put my amazon and ebay storefronts.

Oh wait I don't have either of those 2.

I was giving an idea for luggage. I don't want to use all those big bags anymore.

The trip for me was a business trip. I had a suit and 2 buttoned down shirts in the backpack.

When you carry these type bags you don't have to worry about airline losing them and shite.

Here's the google search that led me to these product placmentish items.
