Game of Thrones series.

Those will keep you busy even if you wanted to circumnavigate the planet in your car

Unabridged they run 40+ to 50+ hours each.

Umm...

Of course that was an exaggeration

EDIT: But since the circumference of earth is 24,901 miles, at 90 mph you could make it in 276 hours if there was a road that ran the equator. Being all five books are ~50+ hours each, adding up to around 250 hours, you could ALMOST do that.

So there

I was going with it - not taking a shot at you - those books seem impossibly huge to read and I've considered the audiobooks, but, my goodness that's a lot of time.

I guess it's my e-tone - it somes off as pissy and sarcastic (much like I do IRL - ).

Ok I bought The Killer Angels and A Walk in the Woods. Should cover two moods.

Need something like Malcolm Gladwell. I've read all of his.

I've listened to a lot of them.

No Country For Old Men is my favorite, I've done it 6 or 7 times probably.

All of the Master and Commander books are great for audio and there are 20 of them.

Catch-22 works well on audio.

So do the Travis McGee books even if they are very dated.

Definitely get Confederacy of Dunces. The narrator is incredible.

I did all 4 GoT and I just felt like they didn't translate well in audio format. GRRMs writing style tends to be a little too verbose in audio form and I found my mind wandering at times.

Some other quick ones I rather enjoyed were Super/freakanomics , Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer, and Unholy Night. They weren't very "heavy" but felt longer than they actually were (in a good way).
