Go hit some and see which ones feel good. Go to dicks, there is hardly anyone in there. Im around 14HC and play the G30s now and I crush the 3 wood. Had been hitting Cobras prior to that.

Once you find ones you like, go to Edwin watts and see if you need to get fitted. They have a 90 day return policy on their clubs. If you don't like it bring it back and get a different club.

No specific recommendations, but consider a 4 wood instead. Most amateurs will hit a 4 just as long, if not longer, and more consistently than a 3 wood. Longer due to increased carry, easier to hit due to shorter shafts. I still hit an R9 4 wood I got off eBay a few years back. Easy as shite to hit and I can get anywhere from 245-265+ out of it.

These days 3 woods are just getting too long with the jacked up degrees and driver length shafts, it ends up leaving huge gaps in the bag for me. Sure it's cool to hit a 3w 280, but how often do I need that, almost never.

Taylormade RBZ. Brother in law has the first gen, and it's super easy to hit. I've always been tempted to get one the way I hit his.

Are you looking for a driver alternative or an off the deck 3 wood? 3 woods are really individual, meaning if you find one you like it doesn't leave the bag. You'll see tour players with 3-4 year old 3 woods. If you just want an alternative off the tee, try out a Taylormade Mini Driver. I have the 12* Aeroburner and I don't miss the fairway...ever...

I have an stage 2 RBZ 5 wood that's forgiving as all hell, if imagine the 3 is as well. My 3 is a SLDR 3 TP set ar high launch.

Switched to a Callaway XR16, they are long, sometimes too long for a 3 wood

Sorry I'm not sorry. You act like that's ridiculously long. If you are in New Orleans, let's go play, always looking for more playing partners.

I just got the ping G25 and highly recommend it. I actually started hitting it off the tee much better than my driver (Nike) so I'm probably gonna drop some coin on the ping driver now
