Navy sea college program. Truth on the 99. I was heavily recruited for the nuclear engineering program but that would have been a longer stint. In short, it was a two year program for people with exceptional ASVAB scores. I got triple the GI Bill but had to do shite jobs. I don't regret it. I'm sorry you don't seem to test as well as I do. It does go to show you that an ASVAB score etc. isn't the end all of rate placement.

This is all about manning.
They can now detail anyone that is in a specific field to any billet in the Navy. They no longer have to send an ET to an ET billet. They can send him to an IT/IC/FC/CT billet and just send him to a school in route to get that NOS.
It's all crap. I was thinking about doing 20 but the last 12 months has been a complete disaster. Now there's rumors that they will remove BAH and replace it with something like OHA.
They seem to be more worried about preparing people for the civilian world than keeping people Navy.
