If given the opportunity to colonize a new planet would you go? Would you like to be one of the first groups to explore the newly found planet?

Only if:

1) We had a good supply of OT 6's or above
2) The fishing was good
3) I had 30 Mbps internet or better

After I raise my kids, I wouldn't mind donating the rest of my life to science, and being a colonist on a new planet. Would be exciting, and a great way to progress our species.

Mars and Venus are the only two options right now and I would say no to both of those.

Only option i see within the next hundred years or so is finding a wormhole and figuring out how to pass through it or even if there's anything worth getting to on the other side. Assuming theoretically a wormhole leads to another dimension

No i did not just watch interstellar

GT23, so lemme ask you somefin cause you know i'm nasa dumb...

lets say we figured out a way to travel (like bringing man and supplies and shite) 10 times the speed of light in space (assuming we don't go that fast now)... that still would take us 110 years to get there right? That's kind of a long time...

Dumbass. We can go a lot faster than that right now.

I'm not a physicist but I guess that math is right. I guess we'll just have to faster than 10× the speed of light.

NASA should be a top 3 priority for funding as far as the U.S. gov is concerned.

On Star Trek, that would be like Warp 3? Something, something, squared?

And the other two?

My suggestions; medicaid and campaign finance.

That's not quite how it works. It is impossible to travel above the speed of light. If that were the case the people on board would see themselves as getting to the planet before they even left (time would travel in reverse for them). Time travels slower the closer you get to the speed of light (relativity) so to the people aboard a ship traveling near the speed of light it wouldn't take nearly as long to get there.
