Not really an amusement park, but I spent my high school and some college summers at Fabulous Folly Beach in Farmerville. Got the $20 membership every summer. Went out for the bands, and hot chicks, every Saturday night. Could always find a fight to get in if you didn't see any ladies that interested you.

They're bringing something similar back.

"Fabulous Folly Beach, two miles south of Farmerville on beautiful Lake D'Arbonne. "

My parents use to get summer passes to Astroworld for $35 for my brother and I.

We would get dropped off and spend all day there nearly all summer

Isn't that partially why AstroWorld ended up closing with the riff raff treating it as a summer camp for their kids?

Ponchartrain Beach
City Park Storyland (I think it's still there but ain't going)
Marine Life (Gulfport)
Eight Flags (Biloxi)

Also on the Mississippi Gulf Coast:
Slippery Sam's
Wet Willie's
Funtime USA

On US 90 before Waveland- Enchanted Land and they also had a Moonshine Museum

Also on Hwy 90 in Louisana by the 190 intersection (White Kitchen) there was a reptile farm next door to the White Kitchen. Not really an amusement park but cool for a kid.

Boardwalk & Baseball, Haines City, FL (right off I-4 and US27). At one time ir was the KC Royals spring training site. All just neighborhoods now.

Heard Wet-n-Wild off I-drive in Orlando closed.

FL has a bazillion of these that were wiped out by Disney, etc.

Dogpatch and Opryland like damn near everyone else

also

Lakeland -was about 15 miles east of Memphis, is now a small town where the park was, park was part of the town, built houses over it I think

Libertyland - The Fairgrounds was rebranded this for about 20 years or so, was near the Midsouth Coliseum, main attractions were the Zippin Pippin, big wooden coaster now at Bay Beach near Green Bay, and a nice old carousel, which they are restoring and putting next to the Children's Museum.

A park employee got crushed to death in the carousel a few years before the park closed.

edit: Actually the carousel accident happened a lot earlier than I thought, soon after the park opened.

You're right there was another water slide park in Biloxi. Maybe Wet and Wild or something? Slippery Sam is where I always went.
